Cool & Crisp

I love taking deep dives into color stories or design point of views. This week it’s all about White. I’m always drawn to white in design. It consistently looks lovely and fresh. White is a color associated with positivity - brilliance, cleanliness, faith, goodness, illumination, innocence, light, protection, purity, safety, spirituality, sterility and understanding.

Recently while I was typing away on my laptop my son asked me - “Mom what’s your favorite Blog you ever wrote?” I of course answered by saying “Well, sweetie pie I could never pick a single one.” He came right back and said “Ok so your top three!”

So friends this week I’m sharing my top 3 favorite pieces.

  • Tudor Admiration: This piece combines my love of Architecture and my love of personal history. My family home growing up is the beautiful Tudor shown in the center. This home (which is a few blocks from the Chalet) absolutely shaped my love of this architectural design. (12/6/2017)

  • Seeing Red: The images are beautiful and so inspiring. I loved gathering them and it was so fun researching the color - the names of all the hues and the phrasing - I so wish I could paint the town red tonight! (9/11/2019)

In the life of this site I’ve published 143 pieces including today’s - it wasn’t easy picking just three… will you allow me to mention two more! My wonderful client projects: Deck Refresh (7/17/19) Stylish Situation (2/12/2020)

I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane. Til next time my friends be happy and I hope summer is treating you well. xo
