Long Valley Peonies

Friends I had the most incredible experience yesterday.

I visited Long Valley Peonies with my sister. We walked around admiring the amazing blooms. I truly felt like I’d gone to Heaven.

The Beauty! The Scent!

If you live within a few hours drive of Long Valley, NJ you need to go. The hot weather that’s forecast for later this week will shorten the life of the blooms - and the farm thinks by the end of this weekend 6/3 & 6/4 they might be done. They are located at 227 West Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ, 07853 Hours: 9am-6pm daily, rain or shine. It costs $10.00 CASH to visit. The bouquets are $35.00 for 10 blooms CASH. If you want a place to dine in the area try the Long Valley Pub and Brewery, Chesapeake Tavern - both down the road from the Farm or where we lunched The Olde Mill Tavern. It beautiful country out that way.

Get there before they are close for the season!

You enter down a long drive.

This cream bloom with the yellow and pink was spectacular!

I can’t explain how glorious it was. We were so fortunate to walk around in the quiet - just taking in these gorgeous blooms and enjoying the scent. Magical!

My sister Noreen and I

I purchased 10 blooms for $35.00 cash

Til next time friends I encourage you to visit Long Valley Peonies. If you’re very far from New Jersey / New York / PA than take a look in your area and see what beauty you find to visit. 🌼

A Garden Tour

Friends I never tire of praising the wonderful things Instagram has brought into my life. Beauty, Experiences and Friends and in June all these came together in A Garden Tour. I had the loveliest afternoon with my sister and friends enjoying seven gardens in Cranford, NJ to benefit the Crane-Phillips House Museum Garden.

The Tour was organized by Interior Designer Jennifer Dengel here she is with her daughter managing the sale of greenery from Atlock Farm. You’ll spy me chatting with some never before met in person Instagram friends!

The gardens were of homes - so while incredibly beautiful and inspiring not in the least bit intimidating!

This home boasted what felt like a secret garden. You entered through a brick paved solarium - what a delight!

I do love trees and this massive specimen was gorgeous!

This lovely flagstone patio was so inviting - truly an outdoor room!

Here are my lovely ladies … my girlfriend and her mom on either side of my sister. We broke for lunch in the middle of the tour at The Cranford Hotel in downtown Cranford - what an adorable downtown with parking.

I adore the topiary I purchased that day - they were provided by Atlock Farm.

Here’s a list of some additional Gardens:

Til next time be well friends!
