79th Annual Glen Ridge Antiques Show

February 6th I attended the 79th Annual Glen Ridge Antiques Show.

Glen Ridge Congregational Church

After paying the $10.00 entry fee I stopped at the first booth with clothing and accessories. I found a coat for $125.00! An amazing vintage black Eileen Fisher eyelash mohair with a stand up collar that’s lightweight and feels luscious!

I found this Tiny Tim Royal Doulton figurine for $12.00. A Christmas Carol is a beloved book and my sister has a matching Tiny Tim that belonged to our dad.

There were so many dealer in the common area.

I spied this Quimper Bowl and I was really really tempted - it was in pretty good shape with just a few “flea bites” but I resisted for $35.00.

This dealer was showcasing pieces that were so beautiful.

This piece reminded me a piece my mother Rita had in my youth. Stunning.

This dealer had every manufacturer clearly marked which I appreciated.

I look forward to finding more Antique show event to attend in the future.

Til next time be well friends and I’ll see you over on Instagram.

Take Time to...

Hi Friends as we flip the calendar to December here is a list of some fun activities to enjoy over the next 29 days.

Buy a ticket for a Holiday House Tour - Winding through Warwick is one my late Mother In Law Marge was involved with for years. I have attended it and events hosted by local women’s clubs in my area. If there isn’t one in your area or within a not too far driving distance - why not organize a round robin with neighbors - decide which house will be the last stop and gather there for take away or go onto a local restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Drop by a local Holiday Bazaar - Morris County Farms

Visit a downtown to admire the Windows.

Participate in a Holiday Cookie Exchange.

Enjoy a drive and marvel at the Lights.

Gather family to tackle tasks together: Cards, Gift Wrapping and Baking.

Buy tickets for a theater or school - dress up and enjoy the Show.

Go Skating.

Some additional options are visiting a museum, grab tickets to a musical venue or sports team.

Wishing you the time to enjoy some holiday fun! Spending time together is the most important gift there is - OUR TIME! Til next time friends be well and I will see you over on Instagram!

A Day Spent in Summit, NJ 10 - 9 - 25

Hi friends my second excursion with my bestie Kristin found us in Summit, NJ, We shopped, enjoyed a wonderful lunch and shopped again all before 2:30pm!

Kristin, Mary, myself

Our first stop was MK Linens and Home. Owner Mary Kull is a delight and her shop is filled with the most beautiful items. Kristin ordered linen sheets and I picked up a new pair of branch candles in navy blue.

Next we visited Great House. Bonny Neiman has an amazing selection of interesting decor including vintage pieces and beautiful furniture. I picked up a cute match book to add to my ever growing collection.

We savored a delicious lunch at Summit House.

Our final stop was The Summit Antiques Center. There are so many dealers you are sure to find a treasure or two! I never leave empty-handed and I came home with a vintage pitcher and a print of a Venice canal.

I spent $77.00 on my candles, green pitcher, matchbook and Venice print.

If you’re in the area of Summit, NJ or even if you’re not I highly recommend a visit to this lovely town. The shopping and fine dining make it a destination. Til next time be well and I’ll see you over on Instagram.
