How About A Little Shopping -

Last week I shared the latest books I added to the Chalet collection. This week instead of my regular monthly interview - I thought I’d re-share some previous interviews - those with shops.

Do we ever need an excuse for a little shopping?

Friends I hope you enjoyed revisiting these wonderful hard-working souls or meeting them for the first time! Please make sure you click through and visit their shops. They all offer such unique items! Til next time be well.

Vintage Style for the Home

This week I’m excited to share the pieces I’ve found in Michele Wesdock’s shop Emma & Jean Studio. You can read interview with Michele Wesdock here.

The very first treasure is this pretty street scene. It been on the sun-porch, our loo and now its on the wall in the principal bedroom. I adore it!

The foo dog soapstone box… I mean come on friends… it’s a box - it’s a foo dog! It’s so unusual. The incredible large wedding scene crock was a birthday gift. It’s massive and I usual hold flowers in there - although currently it houses some wine corks! My Federal Mirror - which was me - going nutty rushing to be the one to purchase it. I love it laying on my shells from summer 2021. The paper mache’ animal boxes - I am obsessed with tigers and i loved the colors of the bunny and antelope box.

This flat-lay is all about the Turtle Shell and this is when my friendship with Michele stepped in - I was purchasing the paper mache’ boxes and asked if she could keep her eye open for a small turtle shell. I was in luck Michele had one and here it is!

My most recent purchase this Danish box - I have an affinity for knights and I was a total pain in the arse until I was able to get this in my shopping bag!

You can see the variety of items Michele sells - I am a big lover of boxes! I suggest you pop over to her shop Emma and Jean Studio and find a treasure or two for yourself!

Til next time friends be well!

Favorite Thrifting Haunts

As more and more people are vaccinated and the world is opening back up - I thought today I’d share my favorite brick and mortar Thrifting spots. My family loves nothing more than planning a thrifting trip with a lovely dinner. We hope to get back to it on a regular basis soon but, life and my son’s sports schedule is a tough work around. We always thrift without fail - on our way to Vermont skiing every February, at the beach every summer and Thanksgiving weekend.
