Every Day Art

This week I’m sharing images of art. What I like so much about these images and this art is these are quick snaps on a phone of everyday moments.

I always say everything is art!

Typewriter and Striped Wallpaper / Yes Ma’am by Jordan Grace Owens

I recently found Tammy Alfultis on Instagram. I asked about the wonderful art in her home - which of course quickly turned into me asking if I could share it here with all of you. Happily she said yes!

Tammy snapped the typewriter at an estate sale and placed it in a thrifted frame. The theater seats were photographed by her at City Museum in St. Louis almost ten years ago.

The FAIR - an actual Fair advertisement Tammy framed.

Tammy loved the graphic nature of this Fair advertisement and adding this pop of green to her collection.

Our Hands / Tony’s

Our Hands is of Tammy and her children and the print below is a copy of the menu for Tony’s the drive-in her Grandfather previously owned.

Dad

Tammy loves how these four school wallet photos of her Dad were never cut apart. She found them after he passed away and decided she wanted to have this sweet reminder around.

Balloons and Cake taken at her daughters 9th birthday party.

All these images yell summertime. The Baby Pool of Tammy’s daughter and youngest son in their driveway; the enticing Snowcones and light playing on the surface of the water in Swimming Pool Shadows.

Stocking Stuffers an image of her youngest son’s goodies hangs above his bed.

To print images Tammy utilizes MPIX a lot but has used Shutterfly, Timeshel and Walgreens. For frames, Tammy told me she loves thrifted ones but, tends to gravitate toward more simple streamlined options and IKEA is a great resource.

I encourage you to scroll through your camera roll, have an image printed, grab a frame and get it up on your wall! I also hope you will pop over to Tammy’s Instagram account and give her a follow!

Til next time friends be well.

Blissful Repose

If you’re like me where I lay my head at night is central in my life. I love my bed! It’s King size and firm and filled with the exact number of pillows I need.

Annabel Bleu

Friends I’m not shy about my love of Pillows….. In all shapes and sizes. This week I’m sharing my go to source for ready made pillow covers Annabel Bleu.

I ordered my first Annabel Bleu cover in those first heady days at home in March of 2020. I seriously love this brand so much - for the myriad of styles, amazing price points and exemplary customer service.

Alyssa is the owner of Annabel Bleu. Her grandmother’s name is Annabel, who’s favorite color is blue. They like to eat Bleu cheese and apple slices together in Annabel’s kitchen. Annabel has always had a beautifully decorated home and the two of them choose fabrics for Annabel Bleu together.

Alyssa began sewing when she was 6yrs old. Sewing doll clothes with her grandmother is one of her favorite memories. This amazing creative is a NICU Nurse, and during Nursing school ran a sewing school out of her home with 56 students of all ages. After several years of nursing she decided to re-embrace her creative side by sewing and selling pillows online. Within 6 months, Alyssa was sewing every spare minute, and hired factory-trained seamstresses to work with her. She was thrilled to help someone out of a factory work environment, and pay them what they truly deserve for each and every piece.

These days Alyssa’s shifts in the NICU a just few every month and she spends the rest of her time designing, photographing and shipping product. Her studio is her favorite place to be!
